By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the basic characteristics of kitchen appliances including dishwashers, refrigerators, food waste disposals, ranges, ovens, exhaust vents, microwave ovens and trash compactors.
- Describe the basic characteristics of bathroom appliances including mechanical exhaust vents.
- Identify common problems associated with kitchen and bath appliances.
- Explain what a home inspector looks for regarding each appliance.
This is an online course and will be taught remotely by the instructor using Zoom’s virtual meeting technology.

Kurt has spent over 30 years in the construction field, working in both the private and public sector. He has owned his own construction company (roofs, Decks and Siding), has worked for home re-modelers and site work contractors, and managed several road and bridge construction project. He has been a licensed Home Inspector since 2014 and is a member of InterNachi, ASHI, and certified indoor air consultant with IAC2. He enjoys presenting to all sized groups and understands that knowledge helps us all do a better job for our clients.
